Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive down the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on your first thrilling game drive in Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve.
Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara Spend a full day exploring the vast Mara plains. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and, if traveling between July and October, the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by nature.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Elementaita After breakfast, leave the Mara and head to Lake Elementaita. This soda lake is a haven for birdwatchers, often painted pink by thousands of flamingos. Check into the elegant Manor and enjoy a relaxing evening by the lake.
Day 4: Lake Elementaita to Amboseli National Park Depart the Rift Valley and drive towards Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants.
Day 5: Full Day in Amboseli Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Amboseli. The low vegetation makes it easy to spot wildlife, including buffaloes, zebras, and hyenas. The highlight is the view of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro peaks, which are often clear in the early morning and late afternoon.
Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi Start with an early morning game drive to catch the sunrise over Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and driving back to Nairobi, where your safari adventure concludes.
