Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Nairobi in the morning at 08:00 AM and drive along the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive in time for a hot lunch at the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, perched on a hill with spectacular views of the lake. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive. The park is a rhino sanctuary and features a protected area for Rothschild's giraffes. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, pythons dangling from trees, and diverse plains game like waterbucks and gazelles.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy an early breakfast and a brief game drive as we exit Lake Nakuru. We then drive via the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the Maasai Mara in time for lunch at the lodge. The Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is set high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, offering panoramic views. At 3:30 PM, head out for an afternoon game drive until dusk to get your first glimpse of the Mara's unrivaled wildlife. Return to the lodge to relax and dine.

Day 3: Full Day in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve

You have a full day to spend exploring the park in search of the Big Five. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is easy to spot lions, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, and elephants. This is also the arena for the annual Great Migration (July–October), where millions of wildebeests and zebras cross from the Serengeti followed by apex predators.
