📅 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the lush highlands of central Kenya toward the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya. You will arrive at Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in this private conservancy and visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary—the only one of its kind in Kenya, established in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute. You will also visit the Visitors Information Centre to learn about local conservation efforts. Return to the camp for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park Depart Sweetwaters after breakfast and drive down to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, making a brief stop at the scenic Nyahururu Thomson's Falls (named after the Scottish explorer Joseph Thomson). Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive along the lakeshore. Besides the flamingos, the park is home to over 400 bird species, the endangered Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhinos, lions, and leopards. After your game drive, transfer to your luxury camp near Lake Elmenteita.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley, enjoying scenic views of Lake Elmenteita and Lake Naivasha en route. Arrive at the prestigious Mara Serena Safari Lodge in the Maasai Mara in time for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in this vast, game-filled reserve. Known for its rolling hills and sweeping savannahs, the Mara offers an unparalleled wildlife experience.

Day 4: Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve Spend the entire day exploring Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. You have the best opportunity here of spotting the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant. Game drives are flexible: you can choose to take a picnic lunch box and spend the entire day in the park, or enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives with a hot lunch back at the lodge.

(Optional Activity: At an extra cost of US$35 per person, you may visit a local Maasai village to learn about their nomadic lifestyle, culture, and bravery co-existing with wildlife).

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi After breakfast, check out of your lodge by 8:30 AM and depart for a scenic return road transfer back to Nairobi.
